The People Like Us Stockport (PLUS) Exercise Group arranges regular walks for the local LGBT community. From walks around Stockport town centre, most parks around the borough, to walks around towns as far away as Cumbria and West Yorkshire.

Carers are people who give up their time to care for a relative or friend – doing anything from washing and dressing someone to making sure they take medication or can get out of the house. The Lesbian and Gay Foundation are running a number of sessions aimed at LGBT carers or people who care for LGBT people. The course gives carers a place to meet others in a similar situation, and to learn new skills. Annie Emery, the Caring for Confidence Project Manager at the LGF, spoke to us to tell us all about the sessions.
