Would you like to get involved in the local LGBT community, or fancy learning a bit about radio?

Here on Under the Rainbow we’re looking for more people to get involved. There are roles available both in front of and behind the microphone. From research and script writing, to interviewing and presenting.

No experience is necessary, as full training is provided.

May 2014 - Heather Peace

Actress and singer Heather Peace is known for her television roles in Lip Service, Emmerdale, Coronation Street and Waterloo Road.

In 2012, she released her first album – Fairytales. Next month, she’s hoping her second album The Thin Line will get a good reception.

She’s also a patron of Manchester Pride – the annual lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community festival.

When Heather spoke to Pure’s Sara, she explained that she feels such events are still important.

New Family Social is a charity that provides advice and support to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people who are considering adopting or fostering children.
