Andres Roots in session at Quarry Bank Mill, Styal

3 October 2012 by Pure Radio

The funkiest thing to come out of Estonia since the invention of Skype, Mr Andres Roots, recorded a session for Roots & Fusion with his group Roundabout at Quarry Bank Mill, Styal.

Funded by Estonian Music Export, Andres Roots Roundabout played half a dozen songs including the first ever airing of “Rick Stuart’s Blues”...

We recorded them in the exhibition room among a collection of Patrick Lichfield’s photopgraphs “Through Lichfield’s Lens”, which features 1000’s of photographs from his personal collection.

Full session playlist – Rick Stuart’s Blues, Shades, Room Service, Build Me A Statue, The Other Rhumba, Wagon Swing
