Aug 2013 - Stockport at Pride 2013 - Best Charity Float Award

People Like Us Stockport is a social group for the borough’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community. They teamed up with Age UK Stockport to put in an entry into last Saturday’s Manchester Pride Parade.

Their efforts did not go unnoticed, as they were given an award for the Best Charity Float.

Under the Rainbow spoke to the PLUS Chairperson Chris, about the award.

Nov 2012 - Red Ribbon Ball

Later this month, Manchester will be hosting the annual Red Ribbon Ball.

The event is organised by the North West lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans group, of the public sector union Unison.

It includes a three course meal, live music, and fundraising for HIV charities.

Under the Rainbow spoke to Eileen Best from Unison.

Stockport Cricket Scene June 12th podcast

Rain washed out every league game in Stockport last Saturday, but it gave Andy Searle an opportunity to visit Marple, Stockport’s leading club, where he spoke with chairman Andy Greasley about the great strides the club has made, which now sees them lie in third place in the Chapel Press Cheshire County Premier League. Andy also rounds up all the action on the international and domestic front.
