Ten-year-old Sophie wins a national award!

Ten-year-old Sophie Nesbitt from Stockport has won a prestigious Sibling Award from the charity Contact a Family for the help she gives her disabled younger brother Jack, who’s just 2 years old.

Jane Lomas met Sophie and little Jack and their mum Tina, who explained how it all came about.

The Lesbian and Gay Foundation is a charity that runs a number of services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community. They include sexual health testing, and wellbeing counselling.

Tonight Under the Rainbow is finding out how you can help raise money for them by taking part in one of their Charity Challenges. Next month they’re looking for runners to join the Great Manchester Run and the London 10K.

Under the Rainbow spoke to their Volunteer Manager, Charlotte Cook and Community Engagement Officer James Derham.
