They raise money, which is then allocated to trans people in need.

The Cycling Celebrant

Alan Lee is The Cycling Celebrant. He helps organise bespoke ceremonies for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community.

He helps arrange weddings, funerals, baby namings and other significant life events. And he aims to make them personal to the families involved.

Recap of LGBT History Month in Stockport

Last night was the final event for the festival by the borough’s LGBT social group, People Like Us Stockport.

It was a light-hearted and jolly fun bingo night in the Arden Arms. Under the Rainbow went along and spoke to the group’s Chairperson, Chris Hassall, who explained what they got up to throughout the month.

We also asked people who they name as their LGBT hero.

Funke and the Two Tone Baby in session for Roots & Fusion

The incredible Funke and the Two Tone Baby (AKA Dan Turbull) came in the Roots & Fusion studio for the final session of 2015.

A 21st century one man band, he loops voice, guitar, harmonica & beatboxing to create a unique sound.

Nov 2013 - Gays of Manchester HIV Charity Calendar

World AIDS Day is this coming Sunday. It’s a time to remember those lost to, and living with, HIV.

Under the Rainbow has been speaking to the George House Trust, a charity that helps people living with the virus.

They’ve released a fundraising 2014 calendar – the Gays of Manchester, which pays homage to the gay community.

Their Marketing and Community Fundraising Coordinator, Susie Baines, explained all about it.
