Acclaimed singer-songwriter Clive Gregson spoke to Pure's Paul Holloway as he prepares to return home to play The Headlander Festival, June 20-21 2015.
Originally from Ashton Under Lyne, Clive now lives in the US. He made his name with New Wave band Any Trouble who were signed to Stiff Records. After Any Trouble split in 1984 Clive formed a partnership with Christine Collister who he met Poynton Folk Club. They released five albums together.
He has also worked closely with Richard Thompson and Nanci Griffth. Clive recorded an acoustic version of his song 'I Love This Town' in the Pure studio, which was recorded by Nanci Griffth.
