February is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans History Month.
On Saturday the 6th, the Working Class Movement Library in Salford will be hosting an event about working-class men and same-sex desires in the 20th century.
It will include readings by ex-Smiths drummer Mike Joyce, and a talk by Helen Smith from the University of Lincoln. Under the Rainbow has been speaking with Helen.

As well as social events, they also meet regularly for walks around the borough and further afield.
On Tuesday, they met up for a stroll around a nearby green space.
