Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It can affect a person in numerous ways – in particular their libido. And some may struggle to discuss it with their doctor or their partner, due to feeling embarrassed.

This Saturday, The Lesbian and Gay Foundation are running a conference for healthcare professionals and people who are affected by prostate cancer.

Under the Rainbow has been speaking to Kathy McGuirk from the organisation – who explained why they are doing such an event for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people.

Mar 2015 - Sugar and Spice 2015

Sunday will be International Women’s Day, and the Lesbian and Gay Foundation will be hosting their annual weekend-long festival for lesbian and bisexual women.

Sugar and Spice is back for their ninth year – with discussions, workshops and film screenings.

Sep 2014 - Trans Inclusion Announced By The LGF

For fourteen years, the Lesbian and Gay Foundation have provided help and advice to homosexual and bisexual people.

However, there was a feeling that transgender people who identify as heterosexual were sometimes being overlooked.

So recently the Foundation announced they aim to be more inclusive of all transgender people in future.

Under the Rainbow spoke to Siân Payne, the Director of Organisational Development at the LGF.

Aug 2014 - Just For Men Workshops

At the end of next week, the Lesbian and Gay Foundation will start a programme of workshops aimed at gay and bisexual men.

They will include online dating, relationships, going abroad on holiday, and diet and exercise.

Jun 2014 - Part of the Picture - Drugs and Alcohol Report

They have just completed a five year project researching drug and alcohol use among lesbian, gay and bisexual people.
