Publishers Penguin Random House have created a new book festival – Penguin Pride.

It celebrates books by lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans authors. With reading lists and interactive discussions, it hopes to introduce readers to new voices, and inspire the next generation of writers.

Under the Rainbow has been speaking to Zainab Juma, who is the Creative Manager for the Penguin Brand.

She said her favourite LGBT authors were James Baldwin and Stockport’s Christopher Isherwood.
