LGBT Sport Afternoon

On Easter Saturday there is an afternoon of athletics, basketball, climbing, football, rugby league and more – all aimed at LGBT people who are beginners in sport.

It will be going on at Hough End Leisure Centre, which is located between Chorlton and Withington.

Under the Rainbow has been speaking to the Director of Pride Sports, Lou Englefield, who has been describing what’s planned.

Response To The Transgender Equality Inquiry

Last month the Women and Equalities Select Committee released a report on their transgender equality inquiry.

It includes numerous recommendations to the government, such as making it easier to change gender on official documents; increasing awareness of trans issues amongst healthcare staff; and helping prevent hate crime.

Dec 2015 - LGBT Foundation's Trans Programme

The LGBT Foundation have recently been awarded a grant from the National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.

Under the Rainbow has been speaking to Louie Stafford, the Foundation’s Trans Programme Coordinator.

He explained how they’re using the money to support trans people, and those questioning their gender.
