The first division of the Vivio Cheshire County League sees all five Stockport clubs either chasing promotion or battling relegation. Amongst a number of local derbies taking place around this halfway mark of the season, Cheadle Hulme take the short drive down to Bramhall’s Church Lane ground as fourth meets first. Andy Searle looks forward to this important promotion clash by speaking to Cheadle Hulme skipper Adam Wilde and Bramhall opening bowler Simon Wilkinson about the season so far and their prospects for promotion.

Manchester University talk about their plans for honouring Alan Turing at this year’s Manchester Pride, and the Vada Theatre Company present their play ‘Coming Out’.
Manchester Pride is the annual festival for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community.
This year, the University of Manchester plan to use the festival to commemorate the life of the late Alan Turing. They will be running a number of Fringe events and participating in the parade.
Their Equality and Diversity Officer, Paul Marks-Jones talked about the man’s legacy, and what the university has planned.
