Fylde singer songwriter, musician and folk story teller, Mike Rolland returned to the studio for his third Roots & Fusion session – though this time on his own.

Member of successful covers group Blue Pig Orchestra and originals band Phantom Voices, Mike has also started to record solo…

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis is a treatment that has shown promise in preventing negative people from acquiring HIV.

After recent successful trials, the NHS is due to announce a decision on it’s availability in April.

PrEPster.info is a website that aims to provide more information and advocate for the treatment’s availability.

Under the Rainbow has been speaking to Marc Thompson, who is co-founder of the site.

Last week they heard about the PROUD study, which looked into the effectiveness of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis. The research showed that the drug can significantly reduce the likelihood of HIV infections.

Sep 2015 - Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (or PReP for short) is a drug which may prevent people catching HIV.

The PROUD study enlisted over five hundred individuals that were deemed to be at high risk of catching the virus – in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the drug.

Gay and bisexual men are disproportionately affected by HIV in Stockport, and across the UK. The study recruited those from this group who were most likely to put themselves at risk.

Under the Rainbow spoke to Michael Brady, the Principal Clinical Investigator of the research at Kings College Hospital in London.
