The Manchester Sharks are a water polo club for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community. They train weekly in Miles Platting.

Under the Rainbow spoke to their Chairperson, Trevor Burchick MBE. He said the team have recently won gold in an international competition.

Manchester Sharks are a gay and lesbian waterpolo club based in Manchester. You can join them this Saturday for Polo Palaver – a beginners session open to all. Sale Sharks Star Ben Cohen Speaks Out About Homophobia

During the past few weeks a number of young people in the United States of America, who have committed suicide after being the subject of homophobic bullying.

A few celebrities have been speaking out, including talkshow host Ellen DeGeneres and Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe.

Sale Sharks Rugby Union player Ben Cohen has been the latest to air a message of support for those who find themselves persecuted merely because of their sexuality.
