Lucy Ward in session for Roots & Fusion

11 May 2016 by Pure Radio

Derby born Folk Award winner Lucy Ward came into the Roots & Fusion studio on her way to Manchester for a trip round Afleck’s Palace.

She sang five songs including an A Cappella version of King Willie – also known as Child Ballad #6, Willie’s Lady

We also recorded a bit of a chat, that lasted a good 15 minutes before I decided I should play some more music…

Wonderfully recorded as always by Aaron Hixon (www.soundcloud.com/brokenchiken)

Listen to Roots & Fusion via Stockport’s Pure 107.8fm, online, via Blues & Roots Radio out of Canada & Australia or catch on www.mixcloud.com/rootsandfusion
