The Manchester Front Runners are a running club for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community.

It’ll be their tenth birthday this year, and they’re celebrating with a ten kilometre run and a cake baking competition. The cakes will be sold at the end, with the proceeds going to charity.

James Moles from the organisation explained that it’s become an annual tradition.

May 2014 - International Day Against Homophobia Biphobia and Transphobia

This Saturday is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.

People are being encouraged to fly rainbow flags and bake rainbow cakes to raise awareness. A new website will be launched where hate crimes can be reported. And there will be a candlelit vigil in Manchester city centre, to remember all those affected by hate crime.

Under the Rainbow spoke to Grahame Robertson from the Lesbian and Gay Foundation.
