Last weekend numerous people from Stockport took part in this year’s Manchester Pride.
It’s the annual festival for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community.
LGBT Youth North West run a weekly group in the borough, and Under the Rainbow caught up with them in the Pride parade.
Since the year 2000 the Lesbian and Gay Foundation have regularly published outnorthwest magazine.
It has included health advice, as well as information about local groups and events – which often included things going on in Stockport.
After 121 issues, they’ve announced they will cease publication. Yesterday, they released their last issue.
Under the Rainbow will be speaking to the magazine’s editor, Grahame Robertson, to find out the reasons behind the closure of the magazine.
Stonewall Housing have released a guide for older lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans older people.
They hope it will help older LGBT people to find accommodation.
